“I’m not a magician,” says Marcus Rashford as he opens up about his future at Barcelona after winning the La Liga title.

Marcus Rashford says he would love to stay at Barcelona as his season-long loan deal comes to an end.

The 28-year-old fulfilled a childhood dream when he joined the club last summer. He even scored a amazing free-kick to help Barcelona win the La Liga title with a 2-0 win over Real Madrid last weekend.

Manchester United loaned Rashford to Barcelona and agreed to pay his full wages. They also set a €30 million option for Barcelona to buy him permanently. However, United don’t plan to bring Rashford back to their first team and believe they’ll find another club for him this summer, even if Barcelona don’t sign him.

Rashford has scored 14 goals and made 14 assists during his time at Camp Nou. But there’s some doubt about whether he’ll stay longer. Barcelona might not want to pay his full release clause and wages next season. They may try to lower the price or ask for another loan deal instead.

After the big win over Real Madrid, Rashford was asked about his future. He said, “I don’t know. I’m not a magician, but if I was, I would stay. So we’ll see.”

He made history as the first English player in 41 years to win the Spanish league and marked the moment with a brilliant free-kick. Former Manchester City player Ferran Torres scored the other goal for Barcelona to seal the title in style.

Talking about his free-kick, Rashford said, “I wasn’t going to shoot at first because I didn’t see the right angle and wasn’t confident. I was going to cross, but then people told me to shoot, and I got myself ready. I’m glad I shot because it was a good goal.”

Reflecting on his season, Rashford shared, “It’s been really good. I came here to win, and this title is another great achievement. This is a wonderful team, and they’re going to win a lot more in the future. Being part of that would be special. So, we’ll see what happens.”
