Wimbledon starts today, and fans can still grab last-minute tickets without waiting in line!

Wimbledon is back, and guess what? You can still grab tickets without waking up at the crack of dawn to join The Queue!
Every summer, thousands of fans head to SW19 to catch all the tennis excitement. This year, with the biggest prize money in Grand Slam history, it’s a great chance to see something special — but you’ll need to act fast.
Usually, people line up early hoping to snag tickets, but you don’t have to set a 4 a.m. alarm to get in. Keep reading for some handy tips!
If you didn’t get tickets through the ballot, don’t worry — there’s still a shot if you move quickly (and don’t mind spending a bit). Right now, debenture tickets are available on Seat Unique, starting around £1,219. Just remember to buy from trusted resale sites to avoid scams and make sure your money is safe.
You can also buy limited tickets for show courts and grounds on the day — but you will need to queue. About 500 tickets are handed out daily to those first in line. When you get there, you’ll get a numbered queue card; hold onto it to buy your ticket. Sales start at 9:45 a.m., but people usually show up as early as 5 a.m., so plan for an early night if you want a spot!
Wimbledon 2026 starts today, Monday, June 29, and will run for 14 days, wrapping up with the men’s singles final on Sunday, July 12.
You might have noticed something new on court the past two years. Wimbledon replaced line judges with an electronic ball-tracking system (ELC) — a big change after 149 years! Wimbledon’s Chief Executive, Sally Bolton, said this technology is very reliable and helps make calls as accurate as possible.
Can’t make it to the stadium? No problem! You can watch all the matches live on BBC One, BBC Two, and BBC iPlayer starting at 11 a.m. UK time. TNT Sports also has live coverage, so you won’t miss a moment. Enjoy the tennis!
